How You Can Support 2 Internet Marketer’s Risking Their Lives To Help Next Generation Entrepreneurs

Mike and yanikIt’s true 2 Internet Marketing Guru’s are risking their lives by jumping out of a plane – all for a wonderful cause of course.

On July 20, 2008 Mike Filsaime and Yanik Silver will be embarking upon a truly amazing adventure at 30,000 feet up…

30,000 feet. (That’s 1,000 feet higher than Mount Everest and six miles above the earth’s very hard surface). The temperature is somewhere around 25 to 35 degrees below zero. You’ll need an oxygen mask or else you’ll blackout in about 30 seconds.

Now this sounds really crazy doesn’t it?  Well, once you understand why they are both taking this incredible risk it won’t seem so crazy anymore.

The overall Mission is to raise $500,000 for the Richard Branson School of Entrepreneurship, educating young leaders, inspiring entrepreneurship, unlocking the potential of South Africa’s next generation. This program is being run by Virgin Unite, a non profit entrepreneurial foundation.

Now, Mike & Yanik’s mission is to raise a $1 (or more) for every foot they fall to support the Richard Branson School of Entrepreneurship in South Africa. What’s more, they are committed to matching funds up to $15,000.00 from their own pockets!

For every single person who pledge’s $100 or more (please click here now for actual details) you will in return receive over $500 in some of their very best online moneymaking information – many of it not for sale or available any other way.

By taking part in this amazing fundraising opportunity you will be helping kids learn about entrepreneurship and eventually assisting them to become self employed.  And as we both know this is the ultimate freedom and lifestyle to live. Not to mention the investment you are making into your own professional development and money making techniques that you will learn and apply directly to your business.

If you are up for another challenge then consider starting your own fundraising campaign and to help reach the overall goal of $500,000.  You never now, you may get a bit of publicity for your own business while you are at it.

The 2008 American Idol Winner is… And Then The PVR Went Dead

OK, I guess going forward when I am recording a live show I will set my PVR to record the next show as well…

I was left in shock as my PVR stopped right on the hour just as Ryan said, “And the winner is”. It was so disappointing as I was really enjoying the show tonight.

I wonder what sort of controversy this will boil up? Will Fox apologize? Will Ryan be blamed? Maybe the cable companies will come up with some sort of patch for the PVR to detect these things in the future?

Whatever the case, I am not very happy but will always remember to set the following show to record next time.

By the way I think the winner was David Cook… Good for him, I love his voice and the way he injects himself into his music – he is going to make a good Superstar. Actually, I like him over Bryan Adams tonight.

I wonder if David Cook will need a virtual assistant? Hum… that would be a fun gig for sure!

Oh, David…

How To Turn Your Newsletter into a Dynamic Publication

Have you ever thought about dynamizing your newsletter?

What I mean by that is making the content dynamic instead of static. If you have an html based newsletter or eZine why not consider turning it into a dynamic, interactive, online showcase!

Here are the top reasons why you should turn your newsletter into a dynamic publication:

  1. Make your content Googleable; it takes time to create and maintain a successful newsletter and sharing that with as many subscribers as you can should be your #1 priority. If you turn your newsletter dynamic your content will then become indexed in Google making it Googleable.
  2. Categorize your articles; just like in your blog you can create categories to file your news stories under. This way your readers will be able to easily access related content from past issues. Tip: turn your categories into your outline for your newsletter. This way you will always know which area’s to write about and your readers will know what type of content to expect and also be encourage to contribute news of their own.
  3. Stay a head of the game; by making your newsletter dynamic you will be able to have one central “project management area” for your newsletter. This will save so much time for you, your VA and anyone else you wish to give access to your manage your newsletter. No more emailing back and forth, copying and pasting etc…
  4. Time stamp your articles; you can use the time stamp feature in WordPress to time stamp when your article gets published. This way, you could have your newsletter ready to go months in advance.
  5. Use Aweber’s Blog Broadcast feature; Aweber has this cool feature called blog broadcast. You set the broadcast to go out at whatever interval you want and it will automatically pull the content from your newsletter and email it to your list. It’s the exact same as your html based broadcast.
  6. Encouraging your readers to interact; by turning on your comments you are inviting your readers to share their opinions and tips as well.

So as you can see these are only a few of the benefits of turning your newsletter into a dynamic publication!

All you need to turn your newsletter into a dynamic publication is your favourite WordPress theme, an Aweber subscription, and a virtual assistant.

International Woman’s Day 2008, Celebrating 99 Years!

RosesMarch 8, 2008 brings the 99th official (in the US) International Woman’s Day.

On this day, people from all over the world give recognition to the most important women in their lives through gifts of flowers, chocolates, mimosas, and quality time together.

Some countries, such as Italy, recognize this day as an official holiday.

More importantly, it’s a celebration to recognize women for some of the unique and challenging roles of today’s modern society including:

  • Historical figures
  • Community builders
  • Business leaders
  • Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunt’s
  • Sisters, Daughters, Friends

To kick things off, I would like to recognize one of the women who touched my life within the last year. This person has indirectly, provided me with the guidance, resources, opportunities, support and most importantly the motivation to be able to start my own business. By doing so I am able to take care of my family, stay at home and raise my daughter, and develop my professional portfolio and network to a level I never dreamed possible.

So, Thank You Tawnya Sutherland for giving us the Virtual Assistant Networking Association. VANA or VAnetworking.com was created by a virtual assistant (Tawnya Sutherland) who had a vision and made it happen. Today, Tawnya continues on strong with that vision by implementing the right tools and developing the right strategies to “fill in the gap” for the next virtual assistant. The dedication and drive that Tawnya, the members and volunteers demonstrate to continuously improve this information source and move the virtual profession forward is insurmountable…

Which woman in your life has been the most influential within the last year? We would love to hear your story.
