I wanted to share this poem with you that my Sister’s partner wrote for me in January 2008.
“Mommies Little Angel”
God saw I was lonely when I awoke each day,
so he blessed me with a little child to help me on my way.
A little girl, oh! so pretty she means the world to me.
I thank God every day for sending her to me.
As I take her tiny hand she looks me in the eye.
I see how much she loves me sometimes I have to cry.
There is nothing more special when I hold her to my chest.
I know God gave her to me now, I’ll raise her as I know best.
A little Angel sent from Heaven to spend each day with me.
I’ll cherish all the love she gives me – one thing in this world that is free.
