Snippets From Tom Antion’s Internet Marketing Training Site

I wanted to share this YouTube video from Tom Antion with you. You can watch as Tom discuses how easy it actually is to become a great Internet Marketer. I really enjoy watching his calm and sincere demeanor.

Tom has an exclusive training site over at “GreatInternetMarketingTraining.com“. Although it is a paid training site you will find great value in the Resource Directory where he provides free access to amazing resources. Take a peek here “GreatInternetMarketingTraining.com ResoucesDirectory“. Tom even provides the option for you to add a link to a resource you find will add value to the directory. You can also access some of his sample articles. One in particular is titled, “Picking Keywords” which covers topics such as: what makes a great keyword and tips on finding keywords.

I have found value in subscribing to Tom Antion’s YouTube channel – this is helpful when you have a busy agenda!

Google Analytics New Stuff, Motion Charts, Custom Reports – Loving It!!!

As you may know, I am a huge fan of many Google Applications. I was pleasantly surprised recently when I logged into my Google Analytics account to find they have added some pretty swift new features. If your Google Analytics account is at least one year old then check for the word beta within your dashboard. It will be on the left sidebar beside custom reporting, advanced segments, and also on the top right under your account profile name.

I spent the entire afternoon today studying the documentation, watching video tutorials, and customizing some pretty snazzy reports for the account registered to this site. I spent the most time reading the Quick Start Guide for Custom Reports. It defines how to design, build and view your custom reports.

Also announced recently is the Google Analytics Tracking For Adobe Flash. I have recently noted an increase in the number of Flash websites that are coming up. Until now I was never partial to them myself however, from some of the new stuff coming out I am liking it more and more.

Some of these reports are easy to insert into Google Spreadsheets with a one click widget install. Comes in handy when sharing key information with virtual work teams as everyone can be granted access to the account. Plus, you can invite people live to the screen to view the documents and also chat right in the sidebar. Online collaboration!!!

Check out this funny video the Google guys made about Motion Charts.

Keywords, Business Listings, User Created Content Google Maps Has It All…

When I checked to see where my business listing stood on Google Maps for the search term Virtual Assistant, Ottawa, Ontario I really panicked when I wasn’t even there. I mean, I was there for the term Ultimate Biz Assistant but really, who on earth would ever search for that out of the blue.

So, I put on my Internet Marketing hat and am now happy to report that I am exactly where I wanted to be listed – #1.

It was actually really simple, I just listed my business under my main keywords instead of under my business name.

I now have 6 Google Maps containing my keywords that all point back to Ultimate Biz Assistant.

Oh, and the other really cool feature is the user created content. I was listed #1 for my search term already under user created content – I guess Google loves people who blog and publish their own content regularly.

Here is my main Google Map listing:
