WordCamp Montreal Townhall With Matt Mullenweg

WordCamp Montreal 2011 was a huge success!

My dear friend, Christiane Jechoux and I had an amazing time this year.

Since 2009, the event has really grown.

Of course, we had the pleasure to meet Matt Mullenweg once again – which was a real bonus.

Can wait till next WordCamp Montreal 2012.

Oh, and want to know what we learned this year? Check out the talks page and make sure you view each individual speakers page as there could be links to their entire presentation on Slidshare! Enjoy.

Matt Cutts on WordPress SEO

Excellent Video from WordCamp San Francisco that was held on May 30th 2009.

In this video Google’s Matt Cutts presents on “Why WordPress is the best blogging platform in terms of Search Engine Optimization, SEO”.

Matt Cutts is the head of the Web Spam at Google.

Notice how he talks about how Matt Mullenweg is the #1 Matt on Google ;) . Cute!

What is your #1 WordPress SEO Tip?

WordCamp Montreal 2011; Woot! Woot!

The dates are July 9 & 10 this year, and I am so excited.

My very dear friend @ChrisJechoux and I were lucky enough to attend in 2009, and got to meet @PhotoMatt (an amazing guy, and founder of WordPress!). Lucky us!

So, you can follow @wordcampmtl on twitter to learn more and stay up to date on the event details…

I am also keeping my fingers crossed that @ErinBlaskie will be speaking again – love her!

A Collection of Web Design Trends for 2011

The 2011 outlook on web design seems to be calling for a very creative edge as more and more companies require their own unique web development solutions.

In 2011, some will introduce a more flexible open-source solution such as WordPress.org to manage all of their digital content while others will remain on their own customized platform.

Whatever the solution you choose to manage your online content in 2011 one of the elements I would suggest you pay special attention would be:

  • Mobile Site Design: sites that are designed specifically to be viewed on small, hand-held mobile devices such as the BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry PlayBook, etc.

Here are list of articles predicting the Web Design Trends of 2011:
