By Frances Palaschuk • November 29th, 2007

Mighty TreeToday, it’s hard to get new clients. Once you do, you better think of some pretty good ways to keep them engaged and loyal. If you do not make it easy for your customers to do business with you then they won’t.

As a customer of many different types of products and services I can tell you first hand that I do not settle. I work hard for my money and I only do business with those who treat me well and make me feel good.

What are some of the things that you do to build your customer loyalty?

The top 10 ways that I build my customer loyalty include:

  1. Treating every contact every day with first class service.
  2. Responding to inquiry’s promptly.
  3. Listening to my customers and really understanding what is being said before responding.
  4. Reiterating, clarifying important information.
  5. Going the extra mile, or so.
  6. Passing along industry news, information, tips and tricks.
  7. Being honest about my opinions.
  8. Engaging in professional development activities regularly.
  9. Asking my customers what they think, how I can make it easier for them to do business with me, what their changing needs are.
  10. Send them stuff regularly, thank you cards, thoughtful gifts, discounts, coupons, added services, leads, extra stuff, special offers, loyalty bonuses ~ letting them know how valuable they really are.
