OK, finally I am able to use this line “Shh Mommies Working” in writing that is…
I thought up this phrase (or did I see it somewhere online…?) anyways either way it really struck home to me.
I went from a long time corporate world administrative assistant to a Mommy Virtual Assistant 1 short year ago. Well, I have been a Mom for over 2 years and have had my VA Business in the works for a while now.
My husband and I started planning our family about 6 years ago. I knew right away that staying at home with my children was my first priority in family planning 101. So, well before I became pregnant I immediately turned to the Internet for support and I found the Virtual Assistant industry. Over the next few years I kept up with the industry and started planning my business along the way.
Now, 6 years later I have a 2 year old daughter and a brand new virtual assistant business and could not be happier. I am loving both so much.
Today, I came across this amazing opportunity in my Google Reader account. It’s an article written by Yolanda Sappington, of Mommies Working, explaining that the twin owners of 5 Minutes for Mom are looking for a Virtual Assistant - thanks so much Yolanda!
5 Minutes for Mom is an online interactive site that helps Moms get the most out of their time online, while having fun, and finding all the other best places! It is run by twin Moms Janice & Susan along with their Mom Joan Winter. Wow, talk about a fun family business!
At 5 Minutes for Mom you can enter a contest, list your Mom site, shop at Mom owned stores, find out about the ultimate blog party, and so much more. ~ thanks for creating such a wonderful site for us Moms, it’s a real time saver!

I can sooo relate to that picture - typing with a child your lap. That was me 8 years ago! Wow, does that bring back memories. For the Moms still holding the little ones on your lap, it’s so worth it and only gets better. Soon you’ll find you have a dedicated office-mate and an extra desk beside yours. And, when your child begins school the teacher’s will be amazed at their knowledge, self confidence and ability to work quietly — all because they were used to working near you in your office.
