I am planning to do a lot of networking. Online, in professional groups, at social events basically anywhere that I can I will build my network.
So, my first step is going to be to create that perfect mini sell or 60 second elevator pitch as it is sometimes called.
As a virtual assistant, there are many ways to go about doing this. Some of the things that I think are important and would like to take into consideration when creating my mini sell are:
- How I can help work out problems.
- The benefits of my services.
- My ability to connect on an emotional level.
- My devotion and commitment.
Now that I have the factors in place, I must figure out what falls under each umbrella and tackle it from the clients perspective. Lets start with “how I can help work out problems”. Here is a list of some common administrative, office type problems that my target clients will regularly be faced with:
- Prospect management; how many times are business cards from a trade show successfully imputed into the database, followed up on, followed up on again, followed up on until an actual sale is generated?
- Customer satisfaction planning; Once the lead turns into an actual customer, is there a process in place to ensure that the customer is well taken care of, and thanked for their business. What about asking for their input, sending them a survey or poll. How about providing them with additional information on how to maximize the product and/or services?
- Effective marketing campaigns; a large percentage of my clients will be small business owners who are looking at ways to automate, save money, save time and keep on top of their industry. So, running an entire marketing campaign solo while running the entire business is pretty much not going to happen.
- Designing and maintaining an online content management system aka - a blog; WordPress makes it simple to maintain your own blog even if you are time strapped and not a true techie. The initial stages of designing the blog do involve skills and technical savviness.
Now that I have come up with some of the problems that my target clients will be faced with on a regular basis I must figure out the actual benefits they will get by using my services.
Make a list of the problems that your target clients are faced with on a regular basis. Stay stayed tuned in for Part II of ~ The Virtual Assistant “Mini Sell”; The Series…
