My Notebook The HP Pavilion dv6000 Entertainment PC

HP Pavillion NotebookI have been using my HP Notebook for about 6 months now and am very happy with it.

I must admit that this was my first laptop beside the ones I used while I was in my corporate position.

At first, I only used my new notebook for certain tasks but now I choose to use it for almost all of my projects.

Here is what HP says about the newly designed Notebook;

The newly-designed HP Pavilion dv6000 Entertainment Notebook PC combines mobility, power and entertainment in a new design. Featuring an HP Imprint finish, the dv6000 ’s subtle “wave” pattern was influenced by Zen rock gardens and compliments the stylish, curvilinear design. High-gloss piano black on the outside with polished silver on the inside, HP’s new resin finish is more durable than standard options. The dv6000 design is further enhanced by back-lit, touch-sensitive media controls that are activated by a touch or tap of a finger.

My only complaint (which is probably just me being a bit ignorant on the subject) is that a message keeps popping up saying D drive is low on space and cannot perform backup. So, I do a manual backup every week or so to be safe.

I rarely call HP support but when I do they are fantastic, which coming from a former call center employee says a lot!

I certainly enjoy my HP Notebook, how about you what brand of laptop do you prefer?

Hi Frances:

I bought a Toshiba A100 back in January 2007 but I am thinking of upgrading in the next few months. The battery is supposed to be good for 2 hrs. but now I have to plug in the charger after an hour. What a pain! I was looking at a new charger than can go for 5 hours - so they say! It costs $199. The newer laptops are lighter and have a few more features than mine. We’ll see how my finances are after a few more months.
