Get Ready for Your Virtual Assistant; Practice Delegating

coloured post it notesGetting ready for your virtual assistant should be a fun and motivational process. Not only are you “getting rid of” those to do’s that you never really had time for anyway but you are actually doing an internal audit on tasks, processes, and effectively working your way towards your wish list.

I bet that you will have a lot of smiles and chuckles while tossing some of those tasks onto the “delegation” stack.

If you happen to come across something that you find really difficult to let go of, don’t worry. It’s common for people to get stuck and can be quite a struggle to get into the habit of delegating effectively.

A simple way I use to figure out if I am better off delegating or tackling my tasks is by prioritizing my workflow and categorizing the tasks accordingly. Then, I actually visualize what the end result will look like. If I see a clear path and I know I can accomplish each step effectively, on my own and have the desire to do so, then I will do it. If I see more of a winding road and am unsure of the way I will throw this onto the delegation stack…

By practicing to delegate, you will make your way towards effectively delegating. One of the major benefits of this process is that you will be making room for the more important things while the tasks you just delegated are performed with quality and effort by someone ready and willing to take them on.
